For those of you that haven't heard about the GHD IV styler, it's about time that you do.
This flat iron look a like is so much more than what it seems. The GHD styler sold me within minutes of hearing about it. I have naturally curly hair, and of course, I straighten it a lot. I like to wear it both ways but I wish there were other options than super curly, or extremely straight. Not to mention, all that heat kills my hair. GHD styler uses new heat reflection technology helping your hair to stay healthy while styling with heat. This is great for me since getting my hair cut has gotten so expensive lately. Saving the ends of my hair so I could go longer between cuts sounds wonderful to me!
This amazing piece of technology helps it's user to accomplish multiple hairstyles with minimal difficulty. Not only can you have straight and curly hair, the styler also creates "summer waves", and a crimping effect, not to mention all of the "flicking" and small style techniques a normal flat iron can do. You can see some video examples at www.ghdhair.com, along with heat styling products that are recommended to use with high heat styling. With all of the options of hairstyles this product offers, it's amazing that the head of the styler never changes! It is all in the way you hold the styler and the angel in which it touches and glides over your hair. Change the angel, and you get a tighter or looser result. It truly is amazing.
I do not have a GHD, yet. For those of you that know me, you know how long I have had short hair. The GHD styler comes in a mini version for short styles, BUT I'm waiting. That's right! After at least 8 years of short hairstyles I am going for it, I am growing out my hair. This coming winter I'll be able to create hairstyles I never thought my hair would allow, and that I never thought I'd be able to get my hair to do.
The only possible downside I can see to this product is the cost. It starts at $220 on the GHD site. There are other places to order the styler for less such as Amazon, but the manufacturer stresses the possibility of look a likes. Be sure you know what you are buying. The product should have the GHD stamp or logo on the page where it is being sold, meaning that it is an approved seller.
In my opinion spending that extra money on yourself for something you would use all the time, is absolutely worth it. Of course that is only, sometimes.

ThinkGeek::Stuff for Smart Masses
Well doesn't it just figure that my first post about something I like is actually for someone else. Ok, so I am in love with him. Yeah, I am a geek lover. But! This one is pretty cool.
ThinkGeek.com is a site for nerds and nerd lovers, even for those of you with mini nerds. (That'd be kids) ThinkGeek has products of all kinds. Clothing, Japan Fan items, Robot Gadgetry things, Electronics, Collectibles of all kinds, home and office, Games, seriously...everything! Everything at least for the geek in your life. Now, if you're thinking "this person", whoever it may be, is totally a nerd but you don't want them to know that you know. You can still find something on this site for them. Yes, it's even for the nerds in denial.
One piece of advice. Don't tell the nerd about the site. Hold in your knowledge of amazing gift items. If you release it to them, you're screwed. Let's face it, most of our nerds out there have minimal control over buying their collectibles. Next thing you know, you'll be back in the hole of not knowing what to give them.
It's ok to be a geek. Sometimes. :)

Here I am.
Welcome. Once again, I have come to try my hand at blogging.
This time will be a bit different. Instead of "bearing all" to the world, I am going to get a bit deeper. In a way. This blog will be links and posts of my top picks, my favorite things, and sometimes updates on life. Basically, people will know more about me and what I like than ever.
I'm not promising it will be interesting, maybe not even very unique. But after all, it's more for me anyway.
